The Jewel Collection

The Jewel Collection represents an evolving body of work that expands beyond pigment alone, exploring the relationship between color, light, and dimensional presence.

Rooted in Yvette Callum’s intuitive painting process, each piece begins with layered oil and movement—built organically through touch, energy, and time. This new direction introduces a heightened awareness of how light interacts with the surface, shifting the experience of the work as it is viewed from different angles and environments.

The intention of The Jewel Collection is not to overwhelm the canvas, but to refine it—allowing moments of luminosity and reflection to emerge with restraint. Each element is considered, placed, and integrated as part of the composition, enhancing depth rather than distracting from it.

This collection marks a natural progression in Yvette’s practice—moving from purely tactile expression toward a dialogue between surface and light. The work invites the viewer to engage not only with color and texture, but with subtle shifts in perception, where the painting changes in presence depending on how it is seen.

The Jewel Collection is currently in development, with select works to be released in upcoming exhibitions and through private acquisition.
